Blueberry Hollow Farm

Great day for a photo shoot… fun kids and overcast skies.  What more could you ask for?

First up, Daddy’s little girl…

Just had to pull this one out and post it.  What a doll she was… with the most unbelievable head of hair on her!

Location, location, location…

In case any of my fans were wondering, I DO travel worldwide for destination portrait sessions.  For this one, my sister client flew me to Virginia to shoot promotional pics for their band/duo.  Over a few days, we scouted out the most colorful locations colonial Williamsburg had to offer.  Sadly no graffiti or giant murals but color, we found…  A pretty blue…

There were railroads as well.  (You can’t be in a band without a shot on the tracks ya know!)

Man, what a bad blogger I am!  I left for a visit to Virginia and haven’t quite caught up ever since.

Hip Baby A in her BabyLegs…

This little guy wasn’t too sure of me…  but curious nonetheless!

Had to win her over with a game of chase to get this cutie to smile…

These next two worked me to the bone. I think I clocked a couple miles of playground just trying to keep up!

Feathers

Not a typical newborn shoot for me but this sweet and tiny baby girl tried her best to cooperate and I tried my best to accomodate Mom’s request for feathers! (But please don’t ask me to do it again! )

We were going for the “sleeping like a baby” look but…

3 hours later, I still couldn’t convince her she was tired but she finally blinked for a split second to give us the illusion anyway.

I’m quite sure she slept soundly the minute I left.

Autumn

So glad Fall seems to be sticking around longer than usual!  This mini family session was able to take advantage of all the beautiful colors.

Plenty of leaves on the ground…And plenty in the air!And how about a little applause for all the color coordination going on here?

I’ll get to the blue part in a minute but first…these two!  They were very much into having FUN, and isn’t that how it should be?!  No wonder I love these candid shots… fits them to a tee.

And now for the monopoly on blue I was referring to… are you kidding me!?!  (No, they are not.)

I just so happened to spend the weekend with Ms. Cheryl Muhr, photographer extraordinaire, and 40 other uber talented woman at The Secret Workshop in Boston.  Yep- lucky me!  And lucky me got to photograph some beautiful models while there. Check it!

A 2 minute shoot

A friend wanted some pics of her niece before she high-tailed it and took off across country so I snuck in a couple of minutes of toddler time last I saw them.  How could I go wrong with those baby blues and that unbelievable tow head?!?I could’ve worked with her all day.  Such a piece of cake!The light was being so good to me, not even this sad face slowed me down!

More Miles

Kudos to all the blog commenting on my last post!  Your reward?  More pics of that sweet baby!  Only problem is I’m suddenly having trouble with my picture sizes!? Errrr.  Will try and fix in the morning.

Anyway, this baby had the wiggliest feet I’ve ever seen. Who knew the foot shot could be so difficult?  (Note to self: Save the feet for when the babe is sleeping.)And since we’re focusing on body parts, how about this swirl of hair!  All I can think of is van Gogh’s “Starry Night” when I look at this…And just so you know, he exists in color too!Of course, we couldn’t leave that big brother out of the post!Happy commenting!  No pressure.

is getting married next month and moving across the country shortly thereafter.  We met up in her current hometown of Boston to take some photos for nostalgia’s sake. Like where they first met for one.And random fun spots for two.And cool backdrops for three.Happy trails you guys!

In need of promotional pics…

The last photo shoot I did with this young lady was a year ago when I was still stuck on automatic.  This time, she was my first ever all manual mode shoot.  I’m tired of using aperture priority as a crutch so I won’t do it anymore. I promise.Anyway, we found this large set of cement blocks in the Wal-Mart parking lot and thought they made for a nice backdrop.  Wouldn’t you say?Just havin’ a little mural fun…

My half birthday wasn’t the only reason to celebrate on May 15th, it was also Kris & Mike’s wedding day! And somehow I ended up as their photographer!
